The Youth Community Exchange (Y.C.E.P.) program has been an integral part of BEAM’s community empowerment and cross-cultural understanding efforts since 2009 as it overcomes major language barriers and promotes peaceful community integration; simultaneously, it improves beneficiaries’ opportunities for social and occupational participation. Language courses and joint activities for Thai and migrant youths build links between communities that strengthen the base for shared development and lasting understanding. All programs are developed with and tailored to beneficiaries’ needs and desires to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
